Feeling of Heart

Dear Parents, Students, Faculty & Staff,

As another year comes to a close; I pause to reflect upon the events of the school year and of the past four years. St.Ursula School has undergone tremendous change during the past four years. Every change has come about with intense prayer and examination of conscience. These changes have come at a cost, financially, spiritually, and emotionally. Change is difficult . . . yet often necessary; we remain focused on academics and dedicated to spirituality.

None of these changes could have been accomplished without the dedication of our past and present teaching and non- teaching staff and the management.  At this time I would like to thank Sr.Rita the Provincial Superior of Indian Region, Sr.Gracy the Manger, Sr.Chitra the treasurer. These people have given countless hours of their time, extraordinary financial support, much needed emotional, and spiritual support. There are no words that can possibly express my gratitude for all of their assistance throughout the past four years.

During their tenure St.Ursula High School has accomplished myriad goals. This would not be possible without the support of the PTA which has also given innumerable hours and dedication to the continued growth of our school. I have often stated how unique the parents of this school are; they are amongst the most committed parents that I have ever had the pleasure of knowing. My thanks go out to each and every one of you.

I have also been delighted with the behavior of our students and can say that all visitors to the school comment on the calm, clean, purposeful atmosphere we have created. As Principal,  I truly believe that the best place for a child to receive an education is here at.Ursula and I have been so pleased to be able to meet the needs of all students in a s school which is ambitious for their future and able to remove barriers to learning. Thanks to all I would also like to thank the local governing body for all their support and help. To the school leadership team and all their efforts to ensure pupils have an outstanding school environment. I would also like to thank all the staff- both teaching and support staff- who make this school the terrific school it is and a wonderful place of work and learning. Congratulations to our students who deserve to succeed. As the new academic year approaches, I wish every success to the new Principal Sr.Nancy, teachers and students.

St.Ursula has always had and continues to have a committed and devoted faculty and staff without whom the school would be nothing but a building. My sincere appreciation goes out to all of you.

Finally, I would also like to express my thoughts to and about the departing Std. X class. This group of students is an extraordinary and eclectic group of young boys and girls, both collectively and individually. They are scholars, athletes, orators, engineers, musicians, mathematicians, comedians, and politicians. When I look at these students I have hope for our future. It is with a heavy heart that I bid you adieu. I feel certain that your futures are bright. I would remind you to carry the Holy Spirit and everything that you have learned at St.Ursula in “Your” hearts; to be true to yourselves and to reach for the stars and to be an Ursuline, Today, tomorrow, and always. May God guide your every step.  Your departure leaves a void in our school and a hole in our hearts dear students.

Sincerely,

Sr. Fathima David
